Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology
What is going to separate you from the rest and help further your exploration in the field of psychology? The Psychology Division within the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences at °®¶¹app is proud to support our students by offering them the opportunity to be a part of the Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology (Psi Chi °®¶¹app).
Psi Chi was founded in 1929 for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating and maintaining excellence in scholarship and advancing the science of psychology. We want you to continue to develop and explore the field of psychology while at °®¶¹app, and becoming a member of Psi Chi will provide you professional opportunities to put your passion of psychology to work. We look forward to seeing you follow Godās calling in psychology and becoming a Psi Chi member.

Mission Statement
Recognizing and promoting excellence in the science and application of psychology.
Purpose Statement
Psi Chi is an international honor society whose purpose shall be to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to advance the science of psychology.
Psychology students interested in joining Psi Chi will be expected to follow the below requirements.
Membership Requirements for undergraduate psychology students at °®¶¹app:
- a rank in the upper 35% of their class
- a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale
- completed at least 3 semesters of college courses
- a minimum 3.0 GPA in psychology, and
- completed at least 9 semesters (or equivalent) hours of psychology courses
Membership Requirements for graduate psychology students at °®¶¹app:
- a minimum overall 3.0 GPA and
- completed at least one full semester of graduate coursework

5. Psi Chi Research Opportunities prepare you for the graduate school or lab of your

There is a one-time fee of $60 to join Psi Chi. This is a lifetime membership.
Annually, °®¶¹app dues are $30 per member. These fees are used for events and projects accomplished within Psi Chi at °®¶¹app.
